About Us

SOS are an amateur dramatics theatre company based in Solihull, with a passion for putting on exceptional musical theatre performances. As part of the Solihull Society of Arts (SSA), we are committed to being an open, inclusive and welcoming society. We’re always excited to meet new performers, particularly new men, who are always in high demand for musical theatre! Whether you’re an experienced performer or stepping on stage for the very first time, you’ll find a supportive environment, a friendly community and the chance to be part of something special.

SOS is a member of NODA, gaining recognition for productions with numerous nominations and awards at their annual awards ceremony. These achievements reflect our members’ dedication and the creative standards we strive for in every season.

Our main productions take place in April each year, with rehearsals and social events throughout the season. Updates and communications to our casts are posted via a closed Facebook group.

If you love to sing, dance, act or simply be part of a team that brings great theatre to life, we’d love to meet you.
Under 18? Why not join our youth company SOSage Factory.
Our main rehearsal night is on a Thursday and if you're lucky enough to secure a principal part in one of our productions, you'll also need to available on a Tuesday. We start rehearsing for our new productions in September, with a launch night and auditions taking place in July.
We rehearse at Alderbrook School in Solihull from 7:30pm - 10:00pm.
