Solihull Society of Arts (SSA)

Art

The Art Section is a friendly group of amateur painters that meets every fortnight for a variety of demonstrations, talks or practical sketching evenings with a model and/or still life. They hold at least 1 exhibition every year.

Drama

Solihull Society of Arts – Drama Section was formed in 1944 and has been performing ever since! Now known as SSA Drama, the drama group stages two productions each year at The Dovehouse Theatre, Solihull.

SOSage Factory

SOSage Factory are the youth theatre strand of SSA, supporting young people age 8 to 18 to access the arts in Solihull. They perform at least 2 shows a year, one a large scale musical at The Core, and one a concert.

Local History

The Local History Circle is a group interested in the history of Solihull and the wider West Midlands and Warwickshire areas. They hold meetings on the third Monday of each month when a talk on local history is given by a visiting speaker.

Recorded Music

The Recorded Music Circle is for lovers of music whether it be early, Baroque, classical, romantic or modern. You don’t need to be a music expert. Most of us enjoy just listening. The cost is low and we are a relaxed and friendly group.
